Based out of Los Angeles, CA, designer Marialia Pacitto has been designing with a strong passion and interest in fashion for as long as she could remember. Starting her own self titled company, MARIALIA, at the young age of sixteen when most other teenagers haven't even begun to think about their future, her strong desire and will to make a name in the industry showed immensely. Without ever even stepping foot inside a classroom for fashion design or sewing, Marialia proves that this natural talent is literally "sewn" into her DNA. Growing up in Italy and Los Angeles and noting the differences in the fashion world between these two countries gave this young designer a very different and unique outlook on fashion, which shows with every piece of couture that is created. MARIALIA has always been about breaking the trend, once stating: "To me, fashion is an art. It is an expression of one's feelings and imagination come to life. In today's world, it is so hard to see the diversity of fashion and develop appreciation for it due to all the trends broad casted on the runway. This is why I believe that real fashion is something that lies within the depths of creativity. It is not something that everyone would want to wear...breaking the fine line in the fashion world between generic and unique."By designing and developing truly innovative works of art and continuously staying true to her dream, Marialia slowly began to build her own empire. Most recently featured in the 2008 Academy Awards Fashion show, various publications, and events, today, Marialia has finally begun to make her name in the fashion world.
